"The Fort"

Yesterday I was trying to get dinner ready and Hayden was NOT super happy about it. He has been such a mama's boy lately, which I love...I love all the random snuggles and kisses during the day.   BUT when I am trying to make sure dinner on the stove doesn't set the fire alarms off, it's hard to let Hayden be right by me and involved with what I'm doing, and still prevent the fire.  So I covered our table with a sheet and deemed it Hayden's "fort."  Hayden has been playing under the table a lot anyway recently, so when I showed him his new hide out he was beyond excited about it.  He ran to his room and helped me get his books and toys and cars.  Of course his puppy had to go under there with him, and his milk and Apple Jacks.

He played under there FOREVER, I finished making dinner all while listening to him talk, sing and play under there.  It was so great for both of us.

I think he was kind of annoyed I was on "his" turf... and I was interupting something highly important...
 He cooked...

and decided his pot that was holding his Apple Jacks was going to be a shoe...
and played and played some more...

Now this face is a new one... It basically means, "Mom, want a kiss? I want to give you a biiig kiss..."

"no seriously Im coming to give you a kiss!"

He cracks me up.  I love how imaginative and busy he is..even if it is exhausting by the end of the day.. here is a video of him playing.  The video is knd of dark because he was not happy that I started to lift up part of the sheet to try and get more light, so the video is darkish..as well as some of the pictures...at the end of the video when Im saying, "I love you," he starts pointing back.  He just started doing that recently back to me after I tell him I love him.  He also does the sign for cat, and cereal. And I love how sweet he is patting all of the people and animals sleeping in the book to tell them good night.  He has the sweetest little personality...
