Is it a....Boy???? or Girl???

Well everyone.... I'm sorry you have had to wait so long for the exciting news about our last Doctors appointment. Our life has been a whirlwind to say the least and we have both been ridiculously busy. I have barely had anytime to breathe. But, without further ado.... we are having.......................
A BOY!!!

We are both very excited. I knew it was a boy right away. I said, "that's a boy," as soon as my Doctor put the ultra sound thing on my tummy and before he could even say anything. Maybe it is just my "mother's intuition," but I'm pretty good at knowing what I'm looking at on the ultrasound.
It is so nice to call the baby him or he now. We are pretty sure will name him Hayden David Hamilton. I know he is a special little boy and I'm grateful that we get the opportunity for him to come to our family. I can't wait to start buying little boy things for him.
Everything in the ultrasound said that he was healthy and developing well. The only thing was is that right now he is breech. Which is no big deal right now because he could flip himself around. Which I hope he does sooner than later because I can feel him sitting right on my bladder and when he kicks it’s really low. I wish I could make him understand my bladder is not his playground or play thing!!! But it's so relieving that he is healthy and doing well. He was playing with his foot when we were looking at him on the ultrasound :) So cute.
Cory and I will both be in Utah soon. I can't wait to be settled and be able to "nest." I haven't really been able to since we've been married because we have moved so many times.

Thanks to everyone for your concern and being almost as excited as we are about our news. My heart is so full recently and I am so excited to meet my other new man in my life. :)

Baby Burrito???

Recently, I've heard of this thing called the baby burrito... Since I'm going to be a mommy soon, I've been looking into anything and everything that would possibly give any aide to me and my husband being first time parents. I've heard of swaddling your baby pretty tightly to make them feel more secure and have it feel more "womb like." But, my cousin recently told me about a website that gives more information about this "baby burrito" and other suggestions to help your baby sleep better through the night. This is one of her things she has loved with her newborn. You can order the baby burrito blanket and it comes with a DVD that is very helpful. The website also has great tips for helping your newborn or toddler sleep. I'm excited to try it out and I've heard great things about it from everyone that has used it. Anything that's going to get me even that extra 30 min of sleep I'm totally game.

You can click on the website and check it out. Let me know what you think and if there is any other baby/toddler or crafty something website you love! :)

My last doctor's appointment in Austin is in 3 days!!!! I'm so excited! First, because we get to see our little baby in my tummy. Second, we find out if we are having a boy or a girl... FINALLY! I've been dying to know forever. We did the whole “string test," dangling a string with my husbands ring on it. If it goes in a circle it’s a boy, back and forth it’s a girl. The string test said girl, and a lot of the other old wives tales have come out girl... but, those are anything but accurate and I don't really believe them. As long as a happy, healthy baby and I survive labor I will be more than happy! And third, that means only 2 more weeks till we get to go back to Utah! I'm sad to leave my doctor here; I really, really liked him. Hopefully my new Doc will be just as good.

Sea Lions, and Tiger Sharks, and Whales...OH MY!!!

On Saturday Cory and I took a wild adventure to Sea World in San Antonio! We have been excited about this little trip for weeks! It was so fun just to hang out all day with Cory and walk around looking at all the neat fish and sharks. Cory loved the seals and sea lions, he thought they were hilarious! They were pretty funny. :) They would swim up to the wall with their mouth opened wide just whining loudly to be fed. It made me think that this is something similar we'd be able to look forward to in only a few months :) The little show that they put on was so cute! It’s amazing what they are able to do, dance, wave, blow kisses, all sorts of things. A HUGE walrus even did some sit ups! I can barely do sit ups these days... We also showed up at Dolphin Cove just in time to feed the dolphins! It was soo neat! We bought a tray of fish and we both got to feed them! They would swim right up and let you touch and pet them. Then they would open real wide to put the fish in! SO COOL! We also went and saw the new Beluga whale mommy and her 3 week old baby. They were so cute. Last but not least we had to see SHAMU, and the other killer whales in the show "Believe." They are huge! They would jump so high, flip, and get people soaking wet! After the show we ate some yummy Texas BBQ, and then I was beat! All that walking around in the blazing Texas heat and humidity all day my belly started to ache! It was time to go home, we were all yucky, sweaty, and exhausted. We were going to go to the River Walk, but that would have to be another day. As soon as we finally got to the car, I passed out.

It was such a fun day, and we made lots of fun memories. Now we are just counting down the days til we find out if our little baby will be a boy or a girl, and the final move back to Utah. :)

Here are our fun pictures from Sea World, with some commentary captions :)

Cory took this little video of the seals and sea lions whining for their food. They were like little kids begging for a snack :) It was so funny.

Counting down til... THE MOVE!

Well, I've been away from Utah for almost 4 years... Crazy. I was so ready to get out of there and try a new adventure in CA. I learned so much about myself, I met some great people, I worked with some people and kiddos that have changed my life forever, I made some friends for life and I met my sweet husband. Now my husband and I have been in Austin, TX for 5 months for his work and its finally time to come back. Who knew that I would miss Utah so much? We leave the second week in Sept. (the BYU vs UCLA game is on the 13th and Cory "has" to be there). I'm dreading the drive! Cor and I have to drive separate, and its normally about a 26 hour drive. YUCK! But, with all my potty and snack breaks I'm sure it will take much longer! I'm dreading the drive so much, along with the packing.... We are still looking for a place to rent. We have a few options but nothing for sure yet.... It's starting to make me a little nervous. I know that eventually everything will work out though.

And an update on my pregnancy...... :)

I haven't thrown up in 2 weeks! WOOO! I can't believe how exciting that is. Also, thanks SOO very much to all those who commented and gave me mommy advice and encouragement on my earlier pregnancy post. I have a doctors appointment on Aug. 25th! That's when we will find out if we are having a boy or a girl! Im so excited! I'll get put up some of those famous "belly" pictures soon. I can't believe how big I feel already and I'm only half way! When we get back to Utah I want to find a pregancy yoga class... so if anyone knows of anywhere... please let me know. I've been so outrageously emotional recently, I seem to cry over the most ridiculous things! And I am always craving something.... gyros, chocolate, mash potatoes, any kind of meat, chocolate, chocolate chip cookies... anything sugar. It's crazy!

Cory and I are going to Sea World tomorrow in San Antonio and the River Walk! I'm so ridiculously excited, I feel like a little kid! I'm sure we will have lots of fun pictures to put up!

Please keep the mommy advice and encouragement coming. I love to hear about anything that helped you during your pregnancy or with your little ones. Thanks everyone!

I should just know better to bring Kleenex's EVERYWHERE while I'm pregnant!

Savior of the World-His Birth and Resurrection
On Saturday Cory and I went to the Savior of the World Production. The youth here in our Stake have been practicing all summer for this beautiful musical called, "Savior of the World." It was so amazing! I was so impressed by the talent in this production. I really appreciate the dedication it must have taken to put it all together. The acting and the music for the play was unbelievable. I love that the church has such great opportunities for our youth to come closer to their Heavenly Father and also help others to feel of His love and strengthen their testimonies. It's definitely a comfort to me knowing that I'm going to be a mommy soon and our kiddos are going to be able to be apart of such great programs that the church provides. Especially since the world is in such ciaos and views on what is right and wrong is so skewed. The play was encompassing the Savior's birth and His resurrection. It was especially touching for me to see the actress portray Mary; she is just so sweet and humble knowing she is going to be the mother to the Savior of the world. She and Joseph never doubted in the Lord's plan. Before the second act started about Christ's resurrection they played a video. It was beautiful! The video is called, "Reflections of Christ." I have never seen this particular video before, it uses actual photos of people to help depict the story of Christ. The photographer was so talented in capturing all the images. I loved the emotion that was captured in the actors faces. I don't know what I was thinking not bringing any Kleenex's to this play, I'm a baby anyway but being pregnant also was like a double whammy. The spirit was so strong in that little theater. It was a great play and I thought I would share the video, "Reflections of Christ," and a few pictures of the play with everyone. It was so neat!

This Baby is Very, Very Sneaky!

I have about 5 months left in my pregnancy. And I feel like I already have a sneaky baby in there.....My first trimester was a KILLER! I didn't know if I should say "We're having a baby," or "This baby is having their way with me." I was so so sick, pretty much all the time. We'll I finally entered Trimester 2 and was so excited. I kept hearing how much other women loved being pregnant and I was so excited to finally "love" being pregnant. Sure enough the "all-day"(not just morning) sickness faded, and I thought I was becoming a real person again with this sweet little baby growing in there that we would be able to hold and kiss soon! I felt the baby kick for the first time 2 days ago and that was so neat. My hormones aren't going quite as crazy so I don't think I'm quite as emotional. I have such a great husband who was so cute, and sweet dealing with my many mental breakdowns and weird, and crazy psycho chick moments. So everything has been going pretty well. The past few days have been pretty good. Then BAM! I'm sicker than a dog again. Nauseous, queasy, all those glorious things. Then I'm so so good again, I can function and do more than just lay in bed and eat saltines all day. Then BAM! So so sick again. It's like the sweet little person in there is just making sure that I know they are in there and who is boss or in charge of my body and life for the next 5 months. Well, hopefully all those "bam" moments will fade even more... I'm just excited to get our little one here, it will be so fun to be a mommy. Its what I've always wanted more than anything. And Cory will be a great daddy. But, until then.... ANY!!! advice from any other mommy would be much appreciated! Anything that helped you survive pre and post baby. Any tricks, tips, anything.... Also if there is anything that you absolutely wouldn't live with out after the baby came I would love to know about that too. :) Thanks for all your love and support. Ill keep you all posted.

Memory Game

1. Add a comment on my blog. Leave one memory that you have had with either Cory or I. It doesn't matter if you knew us a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about us, we'll assume you're playing the game and we'll come to your blog and leave one about you

Wedding Memories...

Here is a slideshow of some of our pictures from our wedding on Jan. 11th 2008. It was soo cold, it had snowed the entire week before and stopped the day of our wedding. I was so glad we had pretty clean white snow. What a fun day....
